The publicity blurb tells us that this show is suitable for anyone aged 5-500 million – and it’s right. This is easily the best family show I have seen in years. More Fun than a Wii is a non-stop hour of wall-to-wall zaniness that had the all-ages audience rolling in the aisles.

Matt Kelly and Richard Higgins have been performing their crazy brand of list-making humour for adults and kids alike – and their experience shows. They have a delightful onstage chemistry with Matt playing the cheeky one and Richard getting exasperated. The show consists of a series of segments and sketches that involve everything from tea-towel aliens to yawn-offs and a whole lot in between. Their lists of interesting animals, other names for Nan and rude words had the enthusiastic crowd totally engaged.

The audience clearly loved this show and Matt and Richard provide plenty of opportunities for involvement without intimidation. The List Operators have successfully embraced their inner children to produce a kids’ show that is silly without being patronising.

The Bosco Theatre with its carnival atmosphere and cosy seating is the perfect place for this show and with tickets available from $12 it is terrific value as well. But be warned this show is selling out daily – you’ll need to book ahead. I loved it so much I am contemplating adopting more kids just so I have an excuse to go again. If you’ve got a young person in your life and you don’t take them along then you are: 1. Neglectful 2. Lazy 3. Mean 4. Tight

The mini-reviewers had the following comments:

Iris (6): They are really cool and I loved it even though I didn’t get to touch an alien. I really liked their ultimate sandwich. The only people who might not like it would be really sensible people.

Jasper (6): I like how Matt is silly and Richard is the responsible one. This was WAY more funny than any other shows Mum takes us to. The sound effects were the best bit. I would definitely go again. And I would take all my friends because they would all like it too.

Violet (9): I I thought it was very funny and good for all ages. Every bit of the show was amazing and awesome but I really liked the ultimate sandwich part.

Indigo (12): It was so much fun. There are so many parts of the show to remember. I couldn’t help but laugh at all of it.
